Our nomadic group meets at members' homes. Email us for directions to this month's meeting place. (click here for calendar)

We meet the 4th Tuesday of the month at 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm September through May.

June, July, and August meeting times and dates are published when they become known. (click here for calendar)

We have a variety of programs each year, covering a variety of fiber-related topics. Recent year's programs have included bobbin lace, inkle loom weaving, basketry, gourd craft, card weaving, and ikat. Members take turns volunteering with refreshments.

During the summer months, we typically plan field trips or workshops.

Dues
Membership dues are $30, payable when our calendar year begins in September.

History of the Guild
Fiber Artisans was originally called San Jose Weavers Guild. The name was changed during the 70's when there was an interest in all sorts of fiber crafts. At one time the group met at the Walking Wheel, a fiber store in San Jose. The Walking Wheel graciously allowed us to use their facility for workshops as well as meetings.

A few of the early members were Nancy Pyeatt, Berty Visscher, Virginia Metzger and Marilyn Bueltman.
